Fredson Homestay is a purely local home family headed by Fred. It is situated in Namisuni at 123 Sipi Street and it is a nice place to stay. Fredson Homestay is one of the most elegant homestays in Eastern Uganda, in a spectacular setting, with eight open-fronted rooms, making it ideal for families. The beautifully appointed homestay incorporates the hillside’s natural features.
Accommodation at Fredson Homestay
The eight guestrooms are lovingly furnished in a traditional style, simple but very clean. The real passion here is the food. The chef turns the fruits of his land into exciting breakfast and memorable three-course feasts, all ready before walking off on a mid-morning hike to Sipi falls.
All family members give you all the services you need. You will prepare your meals in the shared/communal kitchen. Bathrooms with showers are also provided. Conveniences include safes and electric kettles, and housekeeping is provided on request.
Other Facilities at the Homestay
Take advantage of the guesthouse’s room service (during limited hours). A complimentary continental breakfast is served daily from 8:30am to 9:30am. Other amenities featured include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage at Fredson’s Homestay.
Let the sun set find you here at Fredson Homestay, to see and feel the beautiful horizon. Needless to say, this is one of Uganda’s most sought-after homestay, so booking as early as you possibly can is a must to avoid disappointment. Fredson Homestay provides an experience to remember, on the African soil, that is purely local and more of a family belonging to our guests and are more than a bunch of experts. These are a family of like-minded people, using their passion and skills to make a difference.
While at Fredson Homestay, guests can participate in different activities especially hiking Sipi falls. This offers other great experiences of abseiling. Abseiling is one of the other activities you can enjoy during your stay at the homestay, which sits at the base or foothills of Mount Elgon.
Aside from the Sipi falls, have time to visit the coffee plantation, go through the entire coffee process at a nearby family farm. You will pick the coffee berries, to deshell and grind them with a traditional mortar and pestle, and roast them on an open fire, before – the best part – finishing with a fine cup of strong Arabica coffee and among others.
Stay and book at the wildly scenic Fredson’s Homestay facility with lots of outdoor activities in Uganda. Mix up to adventure and compliment your Elgon hike with a gorilla safari in Bwindi, giving guests an opportunity to encounter the special primates.
